A primary argument against Permaculture is that it cannot feed anywhere near the number of people that industrial farming can. Geoff Lawton claims we can do it using only 4-6% of the same acreage. We would like to challenge that assumption on a calorie by calorie competition of a 1000 acre food forest against a standard corn or wheat farm.
